Banchory Bangle

This year Malcolm Appleby proudly presents a tribute to his very own pet peacocks. The first prize is an 18ct gold bangle.

An identical design in silver is offered to the holder of the second ticket drawn, and £100 gift voucher for Malcolm's jewellery goes to the third.

2007 Banchory Bangle

In the 1970s, Malcolm Appleby, royal engraver and renowned and respected jeweller initially crafted the bangle in silver, displaying it in the butcher's shop window in Banchory. The Bangle was sold to the highest bidder and proceeds were donated to CHILDREN 1ST.

Over the years the Banchory Bangle has become a collector's item and is presently fashioned from exquisite 18 carat gold and raffled for £1 per ticket. The Bangle is crafted from the proceeds of donated, unwanted gold, which is sent to London and melted down.
